Rabat, 22nd Sept: Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh interacted with the vibrant Indian community in Rabat, Morocco, on September 21, 2025. The community commended the Armed Forces’ decisive action during Operation Sindoor.
Singh reaffirmed that the Armed Forces were fully prepared and had complete freedom to respond after the cowardly attack on innocent Indians in Pahalgam. Stressing India’s measured and non-escalatory approach, he quoted the Ramcharitmanas: “Humne dharm dekh kar nahi, karm dekh kar maara hai.”
In a candid discussion, Rajnath Singh highlighted India’s multidimensional progress under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi over the past decade. Despite global challenges, India has emerged as the fastest-growing major economy, rising from 11th to 4th largest globally, and is poised to enter the top three soon. He emphasized India’s digital transformation, knowledge economy growth, and a surge in startups from 18 unicorns a decade ago to 118 today.
He also underlined the remarkable growth of India’s defence industry, achieving production worth Rs 1.5 lakh crore and defence exports exceeding Rs 23,000 crore to over 100 countries.
Rajnath Singh lauded the hard work, dedication, and honesty of the Indian diaspora, noting that it reflects the strength of Indian character worldwide.
He recalled Swami Vivekananda’s words at the Parliament of World Religions, emphasizing that in Indian culture, character defines a person. The diaspora expressed pride in India’s rising global stature, underpinned by economic and military strength.
