Ayodhya, 4th May: A wave of devotion has swept across Ayodhya as thousands of pilgrims continue to gather for the second day of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the majestic Ram Temple. The air is thick with chants, the scent of incense, and the quiet intensity of faith as the city bears witness to a deeply spiritual moment—the consecration of the Ram Darbar.
The three-day ritual, which began on June 3 and will conclude on June 5, is aligned with Ganga Dussehra, an auspicious day in the Hindu calendar. It marks the ceremonial installation of Lord Ram, Sita, Lakshman, and Hanuman on the first floor of the temple—an event deeply rooted in centuries-old Vedic traditions.
“This is more than just a ritual. It’s a moment that brings the Ramayana to life,” said Saint Mithilesh Nandani Sharan, a key figure in the ceremony. “After the enthronement of Shri Ram Lalla in the sanctum on the ground floor, the nation’s eyes turned to the first floor—where the divine family, the Ram Darbar, is now being lovingly and reverently established.”
Every mantra chanted, every offering made during the ceremony is steeped in devotion. “We are performing each step with utmost care and faith, as prescribed by our ancient texts. The divine couple—Sita-Ram—along with Hanuman Ji and Lakshman Ji, are being welcomed into their abode,” Sharan added.
Beyond the Ram Darbar, other sacred idols are also being consecrated within the sprawling temple complex. These include the revered sages, companions like Nishadraj and Mata Shabari, and even the statue of Swami Shri Tulsidas Ji Maharaj, the saint who penned the Ramcharitmanas.
“These consecrations are not just symbolic,” said Sharan. “They represent the awakening of a deeper spiritual consciousness inspired by the Ramayana’s eternal message.”
The celebrations, however, are taking place under tight security. The temple has been declared a red zone, with ATS commandos, armoured vehicles, and surveillance teams working round-the-clock to ensure peace and order in the holy city.
On Monday, a grand procession from the banks of the Saryu River signaled the start of the rituals. With music, devotion, and emotion, it drew massive crowds and set a powerful tone for the days that followed.
Saint Sharan also took a moment to honour the role of national leaders. “In Ayodhya’s glorious resurgence, Yogi Ji Maharaj’s name will shine forever. And it is only because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath that we are blessed to witness this divine chapter. This is more than history—it is a cultural renaissance for New India,” he said with reverence.
