Nagpur, 9th March.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed optimism following positive discussions held in Delhi regarding the Mahayuti alliance for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Fadnavis said that significant progress had been made, with approximately 80 percent of the issues resolved during talks between Union Home Minister Amit Shah and coalition partners Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde and NCP president Ajit Pawar.

Addressing reporters in Nagpur, Fadnavis highlighted the constructive nature of the discussions, stating, “Very positive discussions were held in the meeting yesterday. I can say that 80 percent of our issues have been solved, and talks are going on for the remaining 20 percent. And, I believe that the remaining issues will be resolved, and a good alliance will be formed.”

The Mahayuti alliance, comprising the BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP, is gearing up to contest the Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra, a state that holds considerable significance with its 48 seats in the lower house of Parliament.

The Shiv Sena’s trajectory within the alliance has seen shifts, notably splitting from its previous coalition with the Congress and NCP in 2022. Following the departure of Eknath Shinde and a majority of the party’s MPs and MLAs to join forces with the BJP, the political landscape saw the BJP-Shiv Sena coalition form a government, with Shinde assuming the role of chief minister.

Similarly, Ajit Pawar orchestrated a significant transition within the NCP, leading a faction to align with the BJP-Shiv Sena government last year, further reshaping the political dynamics in Maharashtra.
