New Delhi, 18th Oct: President Droupadi Murmu on Friday addressed the national conclave on the ‘Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan’ in New Delhi and presented awards to the best-performing states, districts, blocks, and Integrated Tribal Development Agencies.
Speaking at the event, President Murmu said the conclave reflects India’s commitment to participatory and inclusive governance. She highlighted that the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan was launched with the vision of making every tribal village self-reliant and ensuring that tribal communities actively partake in the nation’s development journey.
“The Tribal Action Framework will play a vital role in empowering our tribal people and the country,” she stated, emphasizing the importance of Gram Sabhas and community-led institutions in strengthening public participation and policy effectiveness.
The President underlined that tribal traditions remind us that development must be in harmony with nature.
She applauded recent government efforts in tribal areas, including infrastructure expansion, residential schools, scholarship programs, skill development, and entrepreneurship initiatives, which have enhanced livelihood opportunities and fostered self-confidence and self-reliance among tribal communities.
“In our journey towards a developed India, we must remember that real progress of the nation and society lies in the development of all sections of society,” President Murmu said, urging the building of an inclusive society where all citizens can meaningfully shape their own destiny.
