In a major administrative development, the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi has ordered a major reshuffle in the Delhi Police, transferring and posting 11 IPS and DANIPS officers with immediate effect. The decision was made based on the recommendations of the Police Establishment Board.

The Home Department of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi issued the official order (F.No.5/37/2023/HP-I/Estt./2187-2195) on July 14, 2025.

Key Transfers:
  • Rajesh Khurana (IPS:1994) – Posted as Special CP (MD), Delhi Police Housing Corporation Ltd.
  • Neeraj Thakur (IPS:1994) – Appointed as Special CP (Provisioning & Finance Division) with additional charge of Special CP (Vigilance).
  • Garima Bhatnagar (IPS:1994) – Moved to Joint CP (Director), Delhi Police Academy.
  • Dheeraj Kumar (IPS:2004) – Posted as Special CP, Economic Offences Wing (EOW).
  • M.N. Tiwari (IPS:2004) – Transferred as Joint CP, Security.
  • Madhur Verma (IPS:2005) – On joining Delhi Police, posted as Joint CP, Central Range.
  • A.V. Deshpande (IPS:2006) – Retains Joint CP, Ops (PCR & Communication), with added charge of Licensing.
