New Delhi, 6th Oct: An 18-year-old MBBS student has accused a 20-year-old fellow medical student of drugging and raping her at a hotel in Delhi’s Adarsh Nagar area, police said on Monday.

The incident took place on September 9 at ‘Hotel Apple’, where the accused allegedly lured the woman under the pretext of friendship. In her complaint, the survivor, a resident of Haryana’s Jind, stated that the accused drugged her before sexually assaulting her. She also alleged that he clicked obscene pictures and videos during the crime and later threatened to make them viral.

The woman is currently residing at the Baba Saheb Ambedkar Medical College’s hostel in Delhi’s Rohini. Based on her complaint, a case has been registered, officials said.

No arrests have been made so far, and efforts are underway to trace the accused.

This case comes against the backdrop of several disturbing incidents of sexual assault reported this year. Earlier this month, a school manager was arrested in Uttar Pradesh for allegedly raping a Class 8 student. In February, police arrested a tuition teacher in South Delhi’s CR Park for repeatedly raping a 15-year-old girl over three years while blackmailing her.
