New Delhi, 4th Aug: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena has issued orders for the transfer and posting of 23 senior IAS and DANICS officers across various government departments. The move is aimed at streamlining governance and improving administrative efficiency, with many officials given new or additional charges to ensure better inter-departmental coordination.
The reshuffle, which was announced on Friday, affects key portfolios, including finance, vigilance, social welfare, and IT. Among the most significant transfers, Principal Secretary (Vigilance) Sandeep Kumar, who already held additional charges for Environment & Forests and Administrative Reforms, has now been given the additional charge of Principal Secretary (Information Technology).
Dr. Dilraj Kaur, previously Principal Secretary (General Administration Department), has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary (Social Welfare), retaining her additional charge of Principal Secretary (SC/ST/OBC Welfare). Vikas Anand, who serves as Secretary to the Chief Minister, will now also hold the additional charge of Secretary (Information and Publicity).
In another key change, Shurbir Singh, formerly Secretary (Power), has been posted as Secretary (Finance) with additional charges of Secretary (General Administration Department) and Secretary (Power). Special Secretary (Health) Tapasya Raghav has been given the additional charge of State Mission Director, Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), while Anjali Sehrawat has been transferred from Director (Social Welfare) to Director (Higher Education) and Director (Training and Technical Education).
Several other officers were also assigned new roles, with the Services Department directing all concerned officials to implement the changes with immediate effect.
