New Delhi, 12th Feb.
A Delhi court on Monday approved three-day interim bail for senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia, who was arrested in connection with the alleged excise policy “scam”. The bail, granted by Special Judge MK Nagpal, permits Sisodia to attend his niece’s wedding from February 13 to 15.

Sisodia, the former deputy chief minister, has been embroiled in corruption and money laundering cases investigated by the CBI and ED, respectively.

The CBI took him into custody on February 26, 2023, over allegations of corruption in the formulation and execution of the now-defunct Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22.

Subsequently, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) apprehended him on March 9 from Tihar jail in connection with a related money laundering case.
