Media Logos Misused: Darshan Singh Under Scanner for Suspected Fraud trying to play victim card
GG News Bureau
New Delhi,2nd December -A fresh controversy erupted in the media fraternity, where senior members of Samagra Bharat & Global Governance News (GGN) accused Darshan Singh—a British citizen presently—of misusing their official logos and manipulating journalistic ethics for personal motives. The editors have demanded a thorough investigation by both the Government of India and the Government of the United Kingdom into Darshan Singh’s activities spanning over four decades, from 1982 to the present.
Misuse of Logos Without Consent
The editorial team at GG News claimed that Darshan Singh used the Samagra Bharat News Logo and GGN logos, distributing them in a manner that gave the impression of his position and the scope of his authority. They have insisted that the logos were used in a deceiving context to keep readers, stakeholders, and authorities misinformed about his relationship with the organizations.
Senior editors say that despite strict norms and a transparent code of journalistic ethics which allowed Darshan Singh space to publish his viewpoints even when those views ran contrary to mainstream national interests, he “tried to take unethical advantage of the goodwill and credibility of the organizations.”
Alleged Links with Anti-India Ecosystems
What worsened the matter was the alleged involvement of Darshan Singh with an outfit notorious for anti-India campaigns, as well as proximity to pro-Khalistani entities. The Managing Editor of GG News, said though they always followed professional ethics and gave space for his views, Darshan Singh “attempted to misuse this openness to amplify narratives aligned with disruptive groups.”
The editorial team believes his recent conduct raises serious questions about his intent, associations, and long-term objectives—especially in light of the sensitive geopolitical context involving pro-Khalistani propaganda overseas.
Serious Allegations of Fraudulent Conduct
The charges go beyond journalistic misconduct. Editors say Darshan Singh appears to have a “criminal mindset” and point to several instances of alleged fraudulent activities. They demand that his financial dealings, political relations and the source of his income since 1982 come under the scanner.
Questions such as:
How did he amass money over the years?
What were his professional activities between Delhi and London?
Why did he relocate to the UK, and what vested interests does he continue to hold in India despite being a British national?
The complainants argue that this lack of answers calls for a formal investigation.
Filing Complaints With Allegedly False Inputs
The controversy further deepened when Darshan Singh reportedly lodged complaints against the senior media professionals Sr Journalist Kumar Rakesh, Kuldip Singh Shekhawat presently President ,Overseas Friends of BJP ,UK and Director of MATV Media Group,London,UK and Poonam Gupta, OBE, British -Indian entrepreneur & CEO of PG paper Company Ltd. Scotland ,UK at Delhi’s Parliament Street police station.
Editors claim the complaint was filled with “false inputs and misleading statements,” aimed at defaming respected individuals in the Indian media landscape and foreign countries also .Its a acute case of defamations and assault on National integrity also.
One of the gravest charges brought is that Darshan Singh sought to project the honorary positions of Kumar Rakesh and other senior advisers as ownership roles, an act the editors have termed “deliberate misrepresentation to malign their reputation.”
Demand for Government Investigation
In the backdrop of this pattern of behavior, Samagra Bharat News and GGN editors are appealing to both governments-India and the UK-to launch a joint investigation into Darshan Singh’s activities from 1982 until date. They contend that given the potential national-security ramifications associated with anti-India propaganda networks overseas, details about his network, funding, and affiliations need to be ascertained. The media fraternity views this as more than an internal dispute. For many, it reflects a growing trend where individuals with questionable backgrounds use media platforms to push disruptive agendas. As the editors assert, protection of journalistic ethics and the credibility of Indian media institutions require urgent action and impartial inquiry into the allegations against Darshan Singh.
