New Delhi, 6th Dec. Diya Kumari, the sitting MP of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the party’s candidate from Jaipur’s Vidyadhar Nagar seat, was on Sunday asked about her potential candidacy for the Chief Minister position. Replying to the question she said that the party leadership would make the decision regarding the selection of the CM.
Talking to the reporters she said, “It is not up to me to accept or reject the CM post. The party’s top leadership will make that decision.”
The BJP has emerged victorious in three states, which has brought us great joy. The public has rejected the corrupt Congress government and chosen the BJP for its commitment to development, she said.
Diya Kumari, amidst the cheers of her supporters, expressed her happiness with the outcome.
When asked about her thoughts on the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Diya Kumari responded positively, stating that the BJP will secure even more seats than before.
Diya Kumari won the Vidhyadhar Nagar seat by a margin of 71,368 votes against Congress’s Sitaram Agarwal. Additionally, her party has surpassed the halfway mark in the state.
Prior to this, Diya Kumari was seen offering prayers at the Govind Devji temple in Jaipur on Sunday.
