Congress MLAs’ Arrest: BJP Claims Jharkhand is “Den of Corruption”

New Delhi, 1st August. The BJP said on Sunday that Jharkhand had turned into a “den of corruption” BJP said this following the arrest of three Congress MLAs in West Bengal with a large amount of cash.

The Congress suspended three Jharkhand MLAs on Sunday after they were allegedly caught with a large amount of cash in Howrah.

The entire Congress leadership, whether big or small, is involved in corruption in the state, BJP spokesperson Syed Zafar Islam said.

Islam said, officials linked to Chief Minister Hemant Soren have been apprehended for suspected corruption, and the entire country has seen three Congress MLAs travel to Bengal with large sums of money.

“The Congress has been exposed again. Corruption has reached huge proportions in Jharkhand. The state government has been frequently involved in graft and the state has become a den of corruption,” he alleged.
