New Delhi, 28th Feb: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said developed nations are eager to sign trade agreements with India because a confident India is rising “beyond doubt and despair,” as he addressed the Network18 Rising Bharat Summit.
Speaking on the theme “Strength Within,” the Prime Minister said the last 11 years have infused new energy into the nation’s consciousness, with India determined to regain its rightful strength. Quoting the ancient phrase “Tat Tvam Asi,” he said India has recognised its inner potential and is working consistently to empower it.
The Prime Minister underlined that nation-building is not shaped by short-term thinking but by long-term vision, patience and timely decisions. He said structural reforms in banking, inflation control and economic governance have positioned India as a global growth engine.
Highlighting India’s Digital Public Infrastructure, he referred to the Jan Dhan–Aadhaar–Mobile trinity and said Direct Benefit Transfer has enabled ₹24 trillion to reach beneficiaries without leakages. He added that India’s digital architecture is now a subject of global discussion.
On artificial intelligence, the Prime Minister said India is no longer a follower as in previous industrial revolutions but a decision-shaping partner in the AI era. Referring to the recent AI Summit attended by over 100 countries, he said every move India makes today is closely watched worldwide.
He also outlined investments in semiconductors, green hydrogen, ethanol blending, defence production, mobile manufacturing, drone technology and critical minerals as steps to ensure long-term economic security.
The Prime Minister noted that agricultural credit has risen to ₹28 lakh crore and over ₹4 lakh crore has been transferred directly to farmers under PM-KISAN, helping strengthen India’s position among leading agricultural exporters.
Concluding his address, he urged citizens to aim for excellence, saying this is the right time to take India to new heights and deliver world-class outcomes in every sector.
