The first concept was “Needonomics” (Economics of Needs). According to Prof. Goel the concept of Needonomics is based on Shloka Number 22 of Chapter 9 of Bhagwadgeeta “Yogakshemam Vahamayayam (Your Welfare is our responsibility) which is also used in logo of Life Insurance Corporation (LIC).
According to Prof. Goel, problems like violence, terrorism, exploitation & corruption of all kinds are caused by Greedonomics (Economics of Greeds). These problems can be reduced (if not removed) by “NEEDONOMICS”. All the policy makers & stakeholders must pay attention to Needonomics & should try to adapt it. For swaraj we must accept the responsibilities of Needo-education of youth & Needo-employability Needo enterprenuership. The Needo-population must become Street Smart (Simple, Moral, Action Oriented, Responsive & Transparent) with spiritual input flowing from from Gita. Prof. Goel suggested SGM (Spiritual Guided Mechanism) strategy to prove Bharat as a global leader using Gita based concept of Needonomics. SGM strategy, if used in Needo-consumption, Needo-saving, Needo-Investment, Needo-Wealth, Needo-Health & Needo-happiness, then it will definitely help to reduce the Economics & Non Economic Problems.
In his address the Management & Staff of City Premier College, Prof. Goel also highlighted “Anu Gita”. Anu Gita is a reply given by Lord Krishna to Arjun. Anu Gita occurs in Parva Number 14 of the total 18 Parvas. Anu Gita has 36 chapters (Compared to 18 chapters of Gita) & 1040 Shloka (Compared to 700 shloka of Gita). According to Prof. Goel Anu Gita is useful to all of us in exploring the Journey to Live without fear & working without worries for nobel objectives.
According to Anu Gita there is a difference between Jivanmukti & Moksha. One gets Liberation (Moksha) only after death but one can get librated (Jivanmukti) while living by doing good deeds. Prof. Goel beautifully explained the various attributes of a Liberated (Jivanmukta) person & its beneficial impact on our life.
