Cloud burst near Kainchi Dham results in damage to the property in Uttarakhand

Haldwani, 13th May. The cloud burst near Kainchi Dham also known as Neem Karori Baba Ashram in Kumaon region of Uttarakhand resulting in minor damage to the property has left the devotees bewildered, lot.
The annual Bhandara the food distribution ceremony to be held on the birth anniversary of Neem Karori baba was supposed to be held on the day but was canceled in the morning otherwise it could have resulted in loss of life.
The devotees are calling it as the miracle of the Baba neem Karoir who shot to the fame after the world came to know that the apple CEO late Steve Job and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg have been his staunch disciples and visited the Ashram on several occasion over the years, after his death. The police team rushed to the spot to assess the situation and began rescue operations. The debris accumulated in the premises of the temple and at the main room and the cave nearby which is being removed by the police team and the officials of the temple. The police found it difficult to remove the debris due to the darkness of the night. The traffic has been disrupted completely due to the mud debris and the boulders covering the main road that leads all the way to the towns en-route the Almora-Haldwani highway. No loss of life has been reported so far.
Neem Karori or Karoli Baba or Neeb Karori Baba was a Yogi, a Saintly being, and a devotee of the Hindu deity Hanuman. He is prominently known for being a Guru of a number of Americans mostly hippies in the 70’s and 80’s .
The spiritual American teacher Ram Das, Bhagwan Das, author and meditation teacher Lama Surya Das, musician Krishna Das, Humantiraria Larry brilliant were some of the notable disciples Neem Karori Baba (Maharajji).
Steve Jobs, along with his friend Dan Kottke, traveled to India in April 1974 to study Hinduism and Indian spirituality; they planned also to meet Neem Karori Baba but arrived to find the guru had died the previous September. Hollywood actress Julia Roberts was also influenced by Neem Karori Baba. A picture of him drew Roberts to Hinduism. Influenced by Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg visited Neem Karori Baba’s ashram in Kainchi. He died at approximately on September 11, 1973, in a hospital at Vrindavan.
