Patna, 1st Feb:
Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) national president Chirag Paswan has announced a major organisational overhaul by appointing 12 new national spokespersons, signalling a strategic push to strengthen the party’s communication, political outreach and ideological presence at the national level.

According to an official letter issued by party National General Secretary Abdul Khalik, the appointments have been made on the directions of Chirag Paswan and take immediate effect. The new spokesperson panel reflects a deliberate mix of experience, youth, professional expertise and social representation.

Veteran Reappointed After Eight Years

The most prominent appointment is the re-nomination of Dr Ajay Kumar Pandey, who has completed eight years as national spokesperson. His reappointment is seen as a strong endorsement of his long-standing contribution to the party.

Dr Pandey is a senior advocate with over a decade of experience in the Supreme Court of India and is also a media professional with nearly 35 years of journalistic experience in India and abroad. A writer of 13 books and founder of a legal media platform, he is known for articulating the party’s stance on constitutional, legal and governance issues.

Three MPs Given Key Spokesperson Roles

Among the new spokespersons are three sitting Members of Parliament:

  • Arun Bharti, MP from Jamui, who also serves as the party’s Chief Whip. A management graduate from the University of Strathclyde, UK, he is considered one of Chirag Paswan’s trusted organisational leaders.
  • Rajesh Verma, MP from Khagaria, a young businessman-turned-politician who previously served as Deputy Mayor of Bhagalpur Municipal Corporation.
  • Shambhavi Choudhary, MP from Samastipur, one of the youngest MPs in the 18th Lok Sabha. At 26, she has emerged as the party’s Gen-Z face and a symbol of youth and women’s representation.
Two MLAs and Senior Leaders Included

The spokesperson panel also includes two legislators:

  • Raju Tiwari, Bihar state president of LJP (Ram Vilas) and MLA from Govindganj, who has played a key role in strengthening the party’s base in Bihar.
  • Murari Gautam, former Congress minister and experienced administrator, whose induction is being seen as a strategic political move.
Media, Youth and Organisational Faces

Other appointments include senior media coordinator Dhirendra Kumar Sinha ‘Munna’, journalist Rajesh Bhatt, and leaders such as Binit SinghRitesh Kumar SharmaAlok Ranjan, and Pranab Kumar, representing youth leadership and organisational depth.

Strategic Signal Ahead of Key Political Battles

Political observers see the appointments as a calibrated move by Chirag Paswan to project LJP (Ram Vilas) as a modern, inclusive and media-savvy party. The mix of senior professionals, young MPs, women leaders and grassroots organisers reflects the party’s emphasis on what it calls the “MY formula” — Mahila (women) and Youth.

The expanded spokesperson team is expected to play a central role in articulating the party’s ideology, defending its positions in national and regional media, strengthening its digital outreach, and connecting grassroots issues with the central leadership.

With this organisational revamp, Chirag Paswan has once again signalled his intent to consolidate the legacy of his father, late Ram Vilas Paswan, while reshaping the party for a new generation of voters and leaders.
