Raipur, 29th April. Governor Anusuiya Uikey attended the Iftar feast organized at Netaji Subhash Stadium, Raipur today.
Governor Uikey while addressing the Rojadars extended her best wishes for the holy month of Ramzan as well as the upcoming Eid festival. Uikey expressed her happiness at attending the Iftar feast.
She congratulated Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for inviting the gurus of all religions, eminent people of political and social sphere to the Iftar feast. On this auspicious occasion, she urged that people of all religions of the society should contribute in the same way in the development of the society and the country. She said that after these two years of difficult times, today it is a very happy feeling when the iftar feast has been organized again.
The Governor said that Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb is being seen in real form in the Iftar feast here today. The people of India have lived with this brotherhood for centuries and have been celebrating each other’s festivals with each other. Similarly, we should respect each other’s faith. This holy month of Ramadan teaches us to renounce evil and do good. She prayed to God that the holy festival of Eid brings happiness to all the people of the society and fulfills everyone’s pious wishes and aspirations.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel extended wishes for the holy Ramzan and said that this month of Ramzan is the month of worship. It motivates man to move from evil to good. In this holy month, the feelings of everyone’s mind become the same. The union of feelings and emotions is the height of spirituality. He wished the Muslim brother good luck for this difficult tenacity of Ramzan.
On this occasion religious leaders of all religions honored each other. On this occasion Food Minister Amarjit Bhagat, MLA Mohan Markam, MLA Satyanarayan Sharma, Mayor Ejaz Dhebar, Parliamentary Secretary and MLA Vikas Upadhyay, Chhattisgarh Home Construction Board President and MLA Kuldeep Juneja and religious and social leaders of all religions and people from the political field were present.
