Chhattisgarh at Top in Administering First Dose of Corona Vaccine to Health Workers

New Delhi, 15th May. Dr. VK Paul, Member (Health), NITI Aayog in a conference said that about 1.5 crore doses of Covaxin are being produced in the country at present. He said that it is being planned to increase it to 100 million doses per month.

He said that Chhattisgarh is at number one in the country while Madhya Pradesh is second in giving the first dose of corona to health workers. Presenting the data, Paul said that an average of 89 percent of health workers nationwide have been given the first dose of the vaccine. 99 percent in Chhattisgarh, 96 percent in Madhya Pradesh, 95 percent of health workers in Rajasthan have been vaccinated. It is 78 percent in Delhi.

Dr. VK Paul said that the average first dose across the country has been given to 82 percent of frontline workers. The first dose has been given to 93 percent in Gujarat, 91 percent in Rajasthan and 90 percent in Madhya Pradesh. It is 80 percent in Delhi.
