New Delhi, 17th Jan. Cases of religious conversion through conversion and education are becoming more common in Madhya Pradesh, the country’s heartland. Only a few days have passed after the Child Rights Commission stormed the Aanchal Children Homes in Parvaliya hamlet, some 25 kilometres from the state capital Bhopal, and this second consecutive instance has once again concerned everyone, including the government and administration. Unexpectedly, both teams were concerned about the conditions, when the team from the National Commission for Child Protection (NCPCR) and the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR) arrived to “CFI Model School,” unexpectedly, both teams grew concerned about the situation.
The teaching of Jesus’ prayer to the non-Christian majority of Hindu pupils in this school, as well as forcibly teaching them the Bible, was the primary source of this discomfort and anger.
The Central and State Commissions acted jointly
When National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) Chairman Priyank Kanungo and State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR) Chairman Dravindra More spoke to the children individually and collectively, it became clear how these children were forced not to say “Ram-Ram” and pray to Jesus. As evidence, the Commission’s staff has also shown films of these children, in which these little children freely tell the principal or fathers and nuns that they pray to Jesus in the morning and whenever during the day. If they are told anything, it is all about Christianity.
Confidential records were burned as soon as the commission team arrived
The Children’s Commission discovered numerous books and other publications from throughout campus that clearly demonstrated children practice Christian faith. During the time of the inspection, burnt papers were discovered in one location on campus, where the fire could not be doused. It appeared that after the arrival of the Commission’s team, when they were talking with the children, someone covertly made an effort to destroy sensitive and confidential documents.
The National Child Commission was asked to file a case under POCSO
During the inspection and discussion with the students, it was discovered that there was something wrong with a girl in an incident a few days ago, for which NCPCR President Kanungo and SCPCR President More instructed the education and police officers to file a case under the POCSO Act. During this time, it was also revealed that the management of the missionary-run CFI Model School was pressuring the girl’s family to downplay the situation.
Dravindra More, Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh State Child Protection Commission, stated that CFI Model School in Bhopal is located at Amoni, some kilometers outside the city. According to reports, the institute owns 100 acres of land on which they raise vegetables, and they also administer the school. The Commission discovered numerous faults throughout this inspection. In one example, officers were instructed to file a case under POCSO. Furthermore, the issue of forced Christian religious prayers in schools has come to light, despite the fact that the majority of the students are non-Christian.
People are tempted to convert to Christianity
The examination was carried out on January 13, 2024, in collaboration with the Chairman of the National Children Commission, Priyank Kannugaon. The school is located far away in a deserted jungle. Religious books taught according to Christianity can also be found here. The school supplied these to the students. According to a resident of the institute grounds, students are being lured to convert to Christianity and are asked to refuse to believe in Hindu gods and goddesses. The MP Board recognizes and promotes CBSE. The State Children’s Commission Chairman, More, stated that the institution considers itself CBSE. Propaganda is promoted by claiming that it is run by the board, whereas in fact all of these youngsters are taught the M.P. Board syllabus. The Commission will direct the concerned department to conduct thorough investigations into all of the issues.
Cases of religious conversion and education are being reported from every district in the state, with Hindu children being the primary target.
According to Dr. Nivedita Sharma, a member of the State Child Commission, almost no district in Madhya Pradesh, including Morena, Dabra, Gwalior, Vidisha, Jhabua, Alirajpur, Indore, Damoh, Bhopal, Shivpuri, Guna, and Datia, is still like this currently. Earlier, incidents of religious conversion do not come to light. But now, such incidents emerge wherever the Commission visits each district to gather broad information.
She stated that a private institute’s report released last year corroborated this and has concerned all of us that the greatest number of youngsters, particularly girls and women, are missing in Madhya Pradesh. During the surprise inspection, many of these girls and boys were apprehended, taken from other states, and held here. This raises numerous concerns and suspicions. Perhaps in the same way, Madhya Pradesh children are being transported to other states and held surreptitiously. This is a major subject that should be investigated thoroughly, that is how innocent minds are being mind washed.
