New Delhi, 15th April. Byju Raveendran, the founder of edtech giant Think and Learn, which operates under the brand name Byju’s, is set to assume the reins of the company’s day-to-day operations following the resignation of CEO Arjun Mohan, the company announced on Monday.
The decision to revamp the company’s structure follows an extensive seven-month operational review and cost optimization exercise spearheaded by outgoing BYJU’S India CEO Arjun Mohan. As part of this strategic realignment, Mohan will transition into an external advisory role, leveraging his profound expertise in the edtech sector to support the company and its founders during this transformative phase.
Byju Raveendran, who had previously concentrated on strategic initiatives such as fundraising and global expansion over the past four years, will now adopt a more hands-on approach in steering the daily operations of the company. With his return as the operational leader, Byju’s aims to embark on a new chapter of growth fueled by innovation, particularly through the launch of its new suite of AI-first products, which have garnered significant acclaim during the pilot phase.
“In light of this new organizational structure and Byju Raveendran’s renewed leadership, BYJU’S is poised to drive innovation-led growth at scale, propelling the company forward into its next phase of development,” the statement from the company remarked.
