New Delhi, 7th June: Union Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia participated in the launch of the book “Hindavi Swaraj ke Sansthapak Chhatrapati Shivaji” at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s (RSS) central office, Keshav Kunj, in New Delhi on Saturday. The book provides an in-depth and factual portrayal of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s life, legacy, and ideals.
Authored by Prof. Omprakash and Dr. Devendra Bharadwaj, the publication has been praised for its scholarly research and clarity.
Speaking at the event, Scindia said the book serves as a factual counter to distorted narratives about Shivaji, and congratulated the authors for their contribution to preserving India’s historical integrity.

The launch event witnessed the presence of several key figures, including RSS senior pracharak and noted thinker Mukul Kanitkar, who is also a member of the Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Toli.
In his address, Kanitkar offered rich insights into Shivaji’s strategic genius and vision for Hindavi Swaraj, leaving the audience deeply moved.

Also in attendance were Mithilesh Kumar, Sah-Baudhdhik Pramukh (North Zone), and Rajiv Tuli, Chairman of Suruchi Prakashan.

During his vote of thanks, Rajiv Tuli announced that Suruchi Prakashan will soon publish a new book on the life and legacy of Mahadji Scindia—an influential statesman and strategist from the Scindia lineage who played a critical role in 18th-century Indian politics.

In a heartwarming moment, the host of the event briefly fumbled while pronouncing Scindia’s full name. Responding with grace and humour, Scindia shared an inspiring childhood anecdote about his name, energizing the audience and uplifting the host’s confidence.

He then delivered a powerful address highlighting several lesser-known facets of Shivaji’s leadership, strategy, and inclusive governance.

His spirited remarks drew applause from all quarters.

Later, in a post on social media, Scindia wrote that the book not only documents Shivaji Maharaj’s true ideals but also logically counters long-standing misinformation. He lauded the event as a celebration of historical truth and national pride.
