BJP to celebrate the seven years of Modi led government as Sewa Diwas

New Delhi, 30th May. On 30th May the Narendra Modi led BJP government will complete its seven years in office and the party has decided to celebrate it by observing as Sewa Diwas across the country.

Speaking on the occasion, BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda has decided to celebrate this day as Sewa Diwas (Service Day) across the country. BJP will reach out to the people of the country through various service activities and launch a special service campaign against the Covid pandemic. Calling upon party functionaries, MPs, MLAs and workers, National President Jagat Prakash Nadda said that in the wake of the global corona crisis, the party will not hold any function on the seventh anniversary of the Modi government at this moment of tragedy for humanity across the world, but all party workers will work in the service of humanity with dedication and serve the people.

Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and to mark the 7th anniversary of the BJP government at the Centre the National President Jagat Prakash Nadda will launch the 2.0 campaign  Sewa Hi Sangathan, a special relief and rescue campaign to fight the Covid pandemic in about one lakh villages of the country.  The party workers will select the villages that specifically have been infected by Covid 19 virus. Separate responsibility has been fixed for booth level workers ranging from central leaders to reach one lakh villages. Besides party MPs and MLAs, Union Ministers and State Ministers have been asked to ensure their participation in a similar campaign in at least two villages. They will distribute relief material among the people with their hands. This includes sanitisers, masks, and oximeters as well as objects used to deal with corona. Party workers will distribute food items among the poor and needy on the occasion and sensitize the people about the vaccination drive. At the same time, party workers from across the country will also set up blood donation camps in which about 50,000 workers from all BJP; fronts will donate blood. A cleanliness drive will also be launched at many places by ensuring the appropriate Covid 19 behaviour.

The Covid Protocol will be taken care of during this period.

National President Jagat Prakash Nadda has also called for running a special campaign for the rehabilitation of the children who have been orphaned due to the Covid pandemic so that their future is secured in BJP ruled states.

The national BJP president said that it is our responsibility to think for the future of such children and for this one needs to take effective and strong measures.

It is also our social duty to stand with the children who have lost their parents due to the Covid pandemic and ensure their safe future and provide them solace in such an hour of need. So far, party workers have organized about 2,000 blood donation camps across the country under the Sewa Hi Sangathan 2.0 campaign.

About 41,00 covid dedicated helpline centres have been set up at the district level to help the needy. More than 98 lakh face masks have been distributed so far under this campaign. About 30 lakh households across the country have been provided food by and ration kits have been distributed to 18 lakh households. More than 11 lakh party workers are engaged across the country to cooperate in Covid awareness campaigns and vaccination drives. Thousands of workers are engaged in the service of senior citizens and the elderly.

Party workers have approached several social institutions and government and private hospitals to help. Today, our country, including the whole world, has been grappling with the tragedy of corona for more than a year now. The first wave of Covid-19, where the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has not only controlled but has also successfully handled the economic and social side effects arising out of it. The second wave of Coving-19 has also been controlled to a great extent. In the meantime, the large scale of health facilities like drug production, oxygen, availability, and production, strengthening and expansion of hospitals across the country by the Central Government is noteworthy.
