New Delhi, 11th Jan. The Congress party’s decision to not attend the consecration of the Ayodhya Ram temple has prompted the BJP to slam the Opposition, accusing them of being anti-Hindu.
Using their account on X (formerly Twitter), the BJP tweeted, “Take a look at the faces of the opponents of Sanatan (Hinduism) who rejected the invitation for the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony….”

The accompanying poster displayed not only leaders from the Congress and the Left, but also others who have shown reluctance to attend the grand event.
Senior Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, who were invited to the ceremony on January 22, declined the invitation, stating that it was a political project of the BJP and its ideological mentor, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
The Left leaders had already responded negatively, and the Trinamool Congress has also made it clear that they will not be attending the event.
