Kurnool, 17th April. Neeraja Reddy, a former MLA and BJP in-charge of Kurnool’s Aluru, was killed in a car accident on Sunday.
Her car overturned in Beechupally, Telangana, on her way from Hyderabad to Kurnool after a tyre burst.
The BJP leader died at Sri Chakra Hospital due to her injuries.
Neeraja Reddy was a well-known political figure in the state, having been elected as an MLA by the Indian National Congress (INC) in 2009.
She did, however, resign from the party and withdraw from politics in 2011. In 2019, she became a member of the YSRCP. She later left the party and joined the BJP.
