GG News Bureau
South Delhi, 9th July. A massive BJP Jan-Andolan demonstration was organized on water shortage in South Delhi, Sangam Vihar. It was under the leadership of BJP Mandal ward No. 84-S President Abhishek Tiwari.
Led by Senior BJP Leader & Former MLA Dr. Vijay Jolly along with local citizens facing problem of drinking water scarcity participated enthusiastically in large numbers.
Addressing the demonstrators, BJP leader Dr. Jolly accused Delhi Jal Board Vice Chairman & ‘AAP’ MLA Raghav Chaddha & CM Kejriwal for gross mismanagement of water distribution in the Capital.

Jolly pointed out that the annual DJB 2020-21 budget was Rs. 3,724 crores whereas DJB debts and loans were to the tune of Rs. 26,000 crores. An allocation of Rs. 467 crore was meant for the Free Lifeline Water Scheme. But it did not actually happen. Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal had announced free supply of 20,000 litres of water every month. But DJB failed to lay water pipelines in 1,741 unauthorized settlements of Delhi. So how & where would the poor get free water questioned Dr. Jolly ?
In the densely populated colonies of Sangam Vihar & Deoli, govt. owned Jal Board tankers, today are openly selling water with connivance of local ‘AAP’ MLAs alleged BJP Leader Dr. Jolly. The pipeline scheme of DJB has also proved to be a big failure stated Dr. Vijay Jolly.
