Patna, 14th May. According to party sources, Sushil Kumar Modi, a prominent member of the BJP and a former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, would have his final ceremonies on Tuesday at around six o’clock in Patna.
Modi, 72, passed away on Monday night in a hospital in New Delhi. He was a cancer patient.
“At roughly 11.30 am, Sushil Modi’s lifeless remains would be transported from Delhi to Patna and brought to his Rajendra Nagar residence. Party members would pay their respects to the deceased politician when his body is later brought to the Bihar assembly and the BJP state headquarters, according to a senior Bihar BJP member.
He claimed that J P Nadda, the head of the BJP, would probably be present for the funeral, which will take place at Patna’s Digha Ghat Crematorium.
The Chief Minister’s Office indicated in a statement that he will be cremated with full state honors. From 2005 to 2013 and again from 2017 until 2020, Modi was Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister. At the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, he passed away at approximately 9:45 p.m. He announced on X last month that he has been fighting cancer for the past six months and that he would not be able to run for office in the Lok Sabha elections.
