New Delhi, 16th July. The BJP appointed Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar as the convenor of its Election Management Committee for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh assembly elections on Saturday.
Tomar, a seasoned organization leader, has held multiple positions in the party, including Madhya Pradesh president, and is regarded as a low-profile leader who enjoys amicable connections with various regional satraps.
He is also from the Gwalior-Chambal region, where the BJP is working hard to improve its performance after being defeated by the Congress in the 2018 assembly elections.
Union minister Bhupender Yadav was recently appointed as the BJP’s Madhya Pradesh poll in-charge.
The BJP-ruled state Madhya Pradesh, along with Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Mizoram, is set to hold elections later this year.
