Bilaspur, 26th Nov: A spine-chilling incident has shaken the Atal Awas Colony in Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur, where a husband and wife were found dead under mysterious and disturbing circumstances on Monday. What first appeared to be an ordinary domestic dispute has now spiralled into a sensational case marked by lipstick-written messages, suspicion, and a possible murder-suicide.

Inside the house, police discovered thirty-year-old Shivani Tambe, also known as Neha, lying dead on the bed, while her husband, Raj Tambe, was found hanging from a ceiling fan. The horror deepened with the discovery of messages written in lipstick across the walls, pointing to blame and emotional turmoil. One message named a man identified as Rajesh Vishwas, accusing him of disrupting the couple’s marriage. Another heartbreaking line read, “Children, I love you.”

The writings also referenced frequent arguments triggered by the wife’s phone calls and Raj’s mounting suspicions.

The couple, together for nearly a decade after a love marriage, worked as cleaners in a private company and were raising three young children. Neighbours said tensions and arguments between them had become common in recent months, largely driven by mistrust and allegations of infidelity.

On November 24, when neither Raj nor Neha stepped out of the house, Neha’s mother, Reena Chinna, visited them out of concern. With the door locked from inside, she managed to enter only to be confronted with the horrifying scene—her daughter dead and her son-in-law hanging.

Forensic experts discovered scratch marks on Neha’s neck, indicating the likelihood that she was strangled before Raj died by suicide. A suicide note found in the room echoed the same allegations scribbled on the walls, strengthening the murder-suicide angle.

City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Nimitesh Singh confirmed that both bodies were recovered from the same room and that a case has been registered. He said all angles are being investigated and the forensic report will be key to determining the truth.

Meanwhile, Atal Awas Colony remains gripped with fear, disbelief, and speculation as this shocking case raises far more questions than answers.
