Patna, 10th July: The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise in Bihar has witnessed active participation from electors and field officials, with 66.16% enumeration forms collected so far, as per official data released by the Election Commission.

As of 6:00 PM today, a total of 5,22,44,956 forms have been submitted — out of 7,89,69,844 existing electors — in just 16 days since the SIR instructions were issued on June 24, 2025. With 15 more days left until the deadline on July 25, officials are confident of achieving near-total coverage.

The progress is credited to the coordinated efforts of 77,895 Booth Level Officers (BLOs), 20,603 newly appointed BLOs, over 1.56 lakh Booth Level Agents (BLAs) representing all recognised political parties, and the contribution of more than 4 lakh volunteers, especially assisting elderly, PwD, sick and vulnerable populations.

So far, 98% of the 7.90 crore printed forms have been distributed to electors listed in the roll as of June 24, the date the SIR exercise commenced. Authorities remain optimistic that the remaining collection can be completed ahead of schedule, ensuring a robust and transparent voter list for upcoming elections.
