Bihar Governor Appoints Six New Vice Chancellors

he Bihar Governor, Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, has appointed six new vice-chancellors (VC) for different universities in the state. This decision was made after consulting with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

The governor also serves as the Chancellor of the state-run universities.

The appointments were made from panels submitted by the search committee, as stated in a press release from the Raj Bhavan on Tuesday.

The statement announced the following individuals as the newly appointed VCs: Sanjay Kumar Choudhary (Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga), Laxmi Niwas Pandey (Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University, Darbhanga), Bimlendu Shekhar Jha (B N Mandal University, Madhepura), Dinesh Chandra Rai (Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur), Pramendra Kumar (Jai Prakash University, Chapra), and Sharad Kumar Yadav (Aryabhatta University, Patna).

Sources reported that earlier on Tuesday, the Chief Minister met with the Governor to discuss this matter.
