Patna, 15th April. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed grief over the death of two young migrants from the state in a fire that broke out at a saree factory in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh on Thursday.
The Bihar CM announced an ex-gratia of Rs two lakh for the next of kin of each deceased and directed the state’s resident commissioner to get in touch with authorities concerned in Varanasi and make arrangements for bringing back their bodies.
The deceased workers have been identified as Muntashir and Ejaz, both of them residents of Araria district.
Four people, including father and son, were burnt to death in a fire due to a short circuit in a Sari godown in Ashfaq Nagar Colony, Kamachha, Varanasi on Thursday.
