Jaipur, 15th Dec. Bhajan Lal Sharma will be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan today. The ceremony will take place in Jaipur and will also include the oath-taking of Deputy Chief Ministers Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa.
Governor Kalraj Mishra will administer the oath of office.
The event will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President J P Nadda, several union ministers, and chief ministers from different states.
The ceremony will be held in front of the iconic Albert Hall at 12 pm. The venue has been prepared with tight security and seating arrangements for the expected large number of attendees. Invitations have been sent to central leaders and state chief ministers.
The roads leading to the venue have been decorated with posters and banners of various central government welfare schemes and the leaders’ cutouts.
In the recent assembly elections, the BJP won 115 seats while the Congress won 69 seats out of the 199 seats that were contested.
Bhajan Lal Sharma, a first-time MLA, was announced as the chief minister-designate during a BJP legislature party meeting.
Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa were chosen as deputy chief ministers, and Vasudev Devnani was selected as the speaker of the assembly.
