Bengaluru Woman Gang-Raped at Home; Three Arrested

Bengaluru, 22nd Oct: A shocking gang-rape incident has rocked Madanayakanahalli, on the outskirts of Bengaluru, where five intruders allegedly assaulted a woman working at a beauty parlor inside her own home. The crime occurred between 9:30 PM and midnight on Tuesday.

According to police, the victim, originally from West Bengal, was at home with her four-year-old son, along with another woman and two men, when the gang forcibly entered. The intruders threatened her with death, took her to a separate room, and assaulted her one by one. After the assault, the accused allegedly looted ₹25,000 in cash and two mobile phones before fleeing.

The victim’s son alerted authorities, prompting police to rush to the scene. She was immediately given a medical examination and admitted to the hospital for treatment. Senior police officers reached the spot, and three special teams have been set up to track the accused.

Using the victim’s statement and CCTV footage, police have arrested three of the five suspects. SP C K Baba of Bengaluru Rural confirmed that the remaining two suspects have been identified and are expected to be apprehended soon.

Authorities are intensifying efforts to ensure swift justice, highlighting the need for enhanced safety measures for women in the region.
