Bengal Chief Secretary Asks DMs and SPs to Implement Stringent Measures to Boost Law & Order

West Bengal Chief Secretary B.P. Gopalika on Monday conducted a meeting with district magistrates and senior police officers, emphasizing the need to strengthen law and order in the state.

During his first day in office, Gopalika also instructed the district magistrates to prioritize complaints received directly at the Chief Minister’s Office, according to an official.

“B.P. Gopalika informed the district magistrates that law and order should be given utmost importance from the beginning of the year. He also urged them to diligently carry out the task of rectifying the voter list,” stated the official.

Gopalika also asked the relevant officials to expedite pending road construction projects in the state.
