GG News Bureau

Kolkata, 17th June. The Bajrang Dal on Thursday staged protests across West Bengal asking action against those who had purportedly planned a conspiracy to stage violent protests against alleged controversial remarks by two suspended Bharatiya Janata Party leaders.

A spokesperson of the Bajrang Dal said that hundreds of its members gathered outside the offices of district magistrates in Bankura, Purulia, Birbhum, South 24 Parganas, Coochbehar and other parts of the state and submitted memorandums to the officials.

The activists demanded action against those who had allegedly hatched a conspiracy to stage violent protests in various places in those where properties were burnt, shops looted and vehicles damaged during the recent protest against alleged controversial comments on Prophet Mohammad.

A police official said the Bajrang Dal protests were peaceful.
