New Delhi, 10th June: To commemorate 11 years of governance rooted in empowerment, inclusion, and cultural pride, the Ministry of Minority Affairs will host Lok Samvardhan Parv from 11th to 15th June 2025 at Birsa Munda Lawn, Gandhi Darshan, Raj Ghat, New Delhi.
The five-day event is envisioned as a celebration of inclusive development, reflecting the Ministry’s vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas. It will showcase key schemes, programmes, and achievements that have contributed to the empowerment of minority communities across India.
A special focus of the Parv will be the economic empowerment of artisans and traditional craftspeople. Over 50 artisans from Northern Indian states will participate, exhibiting and selling their handmade crafts while engaging with potential buyers to explore new market linkages.
Among the event’s key attractions will be the display of flagship initiatives such as Pradhan Mantri Virasat Ka Samvardhan (PM VIKAS) and various NMDFC schemes. Artisans and culinary experts from Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh will be part of the celebrations.
Visitors will experience an exhibition-cum-sale of traditional art and handicrafts, including Laakh ki Chudiyan, wooden paintings, blue pottery, Banarasi brocade, Phulkari embroidery, leather crafts, carpets, jewellery, and wood carving. In addition, the event will feature vibrant cultural performances by folk artists representing diverse traditions from across the country.
The Ministry of Minority Affairs stated that Lok Samvardhan Parv seeks to foster greater awareness of its inclusive development efforts while promoting India’s rich cultural heritage and supporting the entrepreneurial spirit of minority communities.
Citizens are invited to attend and participate in this public celebration of diversity, resilience, and progress.
