Army Helicopters Shower Flowers Over Ayodhya as Ram Temple Aarti Commences

 Army helicopters showered flowers over Ayodhya and 30 musicians played various Indian musical instruments at the Ram Temple as the Aarti ceremony began on Pran Pratishtha day on Jan 22, 2024. The temple authorities provided bells to all the guests to ring during the Aarti ceremony. The musicians will also play their instruments together.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is participating in the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Shri Ramlalla at the newly built Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya at noon.

Representatives from major spiritual and religious sects, as well as people from different walks of life and tribal communities, are attending the ceremony.

Prime Minister Modi will also address the gathering.

The Pran Pratishtha ceremony will follow the Shastriya protocols and take place in the afternoon during the Abhijeet Muhurta. The ceremony usually includes seven Adhivasas, but a minimum of three Adhivasas are practiced. There will be 121 Acharyas conducting the rituals, with Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid overseeing and coordinating the proceedings, and Lakshmikant Dixit of Kashi serving as the principal Acharya. The ceremony will be attended by Prime Minister Modi, Mohan Bhagwat (Sarsanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh), Anandiben Patel (Governor of Uttar Pradesh), Yogi Adityanath (Chief Minister of U.P.), and other dignitaries.

Acharyas from various schools of spiritualism, religion, and worship traditions, as well as representatives from more than 150 tribal traditions, will also be present.

This ceremony marks the first time that tribal traditions from different regions have been represented together.

The traditions include Shaiva, Vaishnav, Shaakta, Ganapatya, Patya, Sikh, Bauddha, Jain, Dashnam, Shankar, Ramanand, Ramanuj, Nimbarka, Madhva, Vishnu Nami, Ramsanehi, Ghisapanth, Garibdasi, Gaudiya, Kabirpanthi, Valmiki, Shankardev (Assam), Madhav Dev, ISKCON, Ramakrishna Mission, Chinmaya Mission, Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Gayatri Parivar, Anukul Chandra, Thakur Parampara, Mahima Samaj of Odisha, Akali, Nirankari, Namdhari from Punjab, Radhasoami, Swaminarayan, Varkari, and Veer Shaiva. After the Pran Pratishtha program in the Garbha-Griha, all the witnesses will have darshan.

The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir is constructed in the traditional Nagara style and features intricate sculptures of Hindu deities on its pillars and walls. The main sanctum sanctorum houses the idol of Shri Ramlalla, depicting the childhood form of Bhagwan Shri Ram.

The Mandir has five halls and a historic well called Sita koop nearby. The ancient Mandir of Bhagwan Shiv at Kuber Tila has also been restored, along with a statue of Jatayu.
