New Delhi, 19th April. Nalin Prabhat, a 1992 batch IPS officer from Andhra Pradesh, has been chosen as the Director General of the National Security Guard (NSG).
Currently serving as an Additional Director General in the CRPF, Nalin Prabhat has been appointed as the Director General of the NSG in Level-16 of the pay matrix. This appointment is effective from the date of taking office until August 31, 2028, or until further notice, whichever comes first, according to the official order.
In addition, the Central government has named Sapna Tewari, a 1992 batch IPS officer from Odisha, as the Special Director of the Intelligence Bureau (IB).
Sapna Tewari, who is currently an Additional Director in the Intelligence Bureau, has been appointed as the Special Director (Level-16 in the pay matrix) of the IB. This appointment is temporary and will last for two years from the date of assuming the position until April 30, 2026, or until further notice, as stated in the order.
