New Delhi, 19th July. INS Shivaji organised a ‘Amrit Mahotsv Band Concert ‘ on 16 Jul 21 in Station Lonavala to commemorate the monumental occasion of the nation’s 75th anniversary of Indian Independence ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and 50th anniversary of the Indian armed forces victory in the 1971 INDO- PAK war ‘Swarnim Vijay Varsh’.
The Amrit Mahotsav Band Concert was dedicated to the Naval personnel and their families who had not only been instrumental in bringing India thus far in its evolutionary journey, but also hold within them the power and potential to enable the country’s vision of activating India 2.0, fuelled by the sprit of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ is an embodiment of all that is progressive about India’s socio-cultural, political and economic identity. The official journey of the Mahotsav commenced on 12 Mar 21 with 75 weeks countdown to the nation’s 75th anniversary of Independence and will end on 15th Aug 2023.
The concert was organised with the motto ‘EK BHARAT SHRESTHA BHARAT’ and ‘Har Rajya, Har Bhasha’ with an intent to further the idea of a sustained and structured framework on connection between people of different religions of India & to promote deeper inclusivity across the nation. The INS Shivaji band of 20 personnel of led by P Chandrasekhar, CPO MUS regaled the audience with performance ranging from contemporary Indian classical, patriotic songs, Carnatic Ragas, Fusion of Jazz music etc.
The event culminated with the final concert on 16 Jul 21 wherein CMDE Arvind Rawal Station Commander Lonavala felicitated the band members.
