New Delhi, 3rd March: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah on Tuesday extended warm greetings to the people of West Bengal, Odisha and Assam on the auspicious occasion of Dol Jatra and Dola Purnima.

In a series of posts on X, the Home Minister conveyed his wishes for peace, happiness and prosperity across the eastern states celebrating the festival of colours and devotion.

Greeting the people of West Bengal on Dol Jatra, Shri Shah expressed hope that the grandeur of the festival would further strengthen the connection with roots, culture and heritage while bringing happiness and prosperity into every home.

Extending his wishes to the people of Odisha on Dola Purnima, he said the festival symbolises the joyful union with Bhagwan Krishna and prayed that it brings blessings of joy and good fortune to all.

Addressing the people of Assam, Shri Shah said the festival of devotion and colours should fill everyone’s life with good health, happiness and prosperity.

Dol Jatra and Dola Purnima mark the celebration of devotion to Bhagwan Krishna and the onset of spring, observed with vibrant colours, devotional songs and cultural traditions across eastern India.
