Lucknow, 5th Dec.
Akhilesh Yadav, the chief of the Samajwadi Party, will not be attending the INDIA bloc meeting in Delhi on December 6, said party spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhary.

The decision was made because there was no prior information about the meeting.

Instead, Prof. Ram Gopal Yadav or another leader authorized by the national president will attend. However, Samajwadi Party leader Ramgopal Yadav confirmed that his party will still be present at the meeting, despite Akhilesh Yadav’s absence.

He explained that Akhilesh Yadav is busy with other commitments in the Purvanchal region.

The Samajwadi Party has expressed its displeasure with the Congress for not accommodating them in Madhya Pradesh during the recent assembly elections.

Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, will also not be attending the meeting due to prior engagements.

The INDIA bloc leaders will gather at the residence of Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge to discuss strategies for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Akhilesh Yadav remains hopeful for different results in the upcoming elections but acknowledges the need for thorough preparations to fight against the BJP.

The recent assembly elections resulted in a significant victory for the BJP in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh, strengthening Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s position and setting the tone for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

However, the Congress managed to oust the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in Telangana.
