New Delhi, 22nd Dec: An Air India flight operating from Delhi to Mumbai was forced to return to the national capital on Monday morning after a technical snag was detected during the journey.
Flight AI-887, which had taken off from Delhi, turned back as a precautionary measure and made a safe emergency landing at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, officials said.
Airport authorities confirmed that standard safety procedures were followed and all passengers onboard the aircraft are safe. No injuries were reported.
Airline officials are examining the aircraft to identify the cause of the technical issue, while arrangements for passengers to continue their journey are being made.
