New Delhi, 13th March: Agrinnovate India Limited, the commercial arm of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), presented a dividend of ₹3,39,97,362 for the financial year 2024–25 to Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in New Delhi on Friday.
The dividend was handed over in accordance with the guidelines of the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM). Agrinnovate India Ltd operates under the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE), Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare.
Speaking on the occasion, Chouhan said Agrinnovate India has emerged as a strong bridge between the innovation capabilities of ICAR and the practical needs of farmers.
He noted that the organisation is playing an important role in transferring agricultural technologies and promoting technical entrepreneurship, thereby supporting the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat in the agriculture sector.
Chief Executive Officer Dr. Praveen Malik said the dividend reflects the company’s financial strength, sound governance practices and continued commitment to innovation in agriculture.
The programme was also attended by Dr. M.L. Jat, Chairman of Agrinnovate India Ltd and Director General of ICAR, along with non-official director Anand Mohan Awasthi.
Established in 2011, Agrinnovate India Ltd functions as the commercial arm of ICAR with the objective of translating agricultural research, technology and innovations into practical commercial applications. Its initiatives are aimed at supporting farmers, startups and entrepreneurs in the agriculture ecosystem.
Officials said the dividend distribution highlights Agrinnovate India’s financial discipline, transparency and sustained commitment to strengthening India’s agricultural innovation ecosystem.
