After a teenager tested positive for Omicron, a Telangana village was put under lockdown voluntarily

Telangana, 23rd Dec. On December 20, 2021, a young man who had lately returned to Rajanna Sircilla from Dubai tested positive for the Omicron strain of Covid-19.

He visited his friends and relatives in Yellareddypet and Sircilla town after returning to his homeland.

He was transferred to KIMS hospital in Hyderabad once the test results were received.

Family members and those who have come into close touch with the person have been advised to self-isolate by health experts.

Gudem, a village in the district’s Mustabad Mandal, fell into a self-imposed 10-day lockdown on Thursday after the youth tested positive for Omicron.

Srinivasa Rao, the sarpanch of Gudem, told a news agency that the youth’s wife and mother had also tested positive for Covid, but the findings had not yet been released.
