Welcoming the trainees, the Vice-President highlighted the Defence Accounts Department’s legacy of over 275 years, describing it as one of the oldest institutions in the Government of India. He said civil servants would play a pivotal role in achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047, underlining the importance of inclusive development and last-mile delivery during the Amrit Kaal.
Emphasising the critical role of IDAS, Shri Radhakrishnan said the Service is central to managing the financial resources of the Indian Armed Forces and allied organisations.
