New Delhi, 24th Sept: A letter submitted to the Supreme Court by Jerusalem Matthayya, who identifies himself as both an accused and a victim in the 2015 ‘Cash-for-Vote’ case, has directly implicated Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

Dated September 23, 2025, the letter alleges that Matthayya was ordered to bribe a TRS MLA with Rs 5 crore to secure a vote in the Legislative Council elections. It names Naidu, his son Lokesh Naidu, TDP leaders, and certain police and intelligence officials as part of the conspiracy.

The letter demands a fresh, high-level inquiry supervised by the Supreme Court, bypassing both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh High Courts. It also calls for the removal of all accused from their current government positions to ensure impartiality.

In addition, Matthayya seeks a ban on the TDP and Congress parties in future elections and the dissolution of the state governments they currently run, citing alleged attempts to undermine democracy.

The 2015 ‘Cash-for-Vote’ case originally involved an alleged bribery attempt by then TDP MLA Revanth Reddy. Audio recordings purporting to feature Chandrababu Naidu were leaked, though no formal charges were filed at the time. The Supreme Court had reserved judgment on a related petition a day before Matthayya’s submission, which could influence the ongoing judicial proceedings.
