New Delhi, 13th Sept: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Saturday unveiled its manifesto for the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections, outlining a student-first agenda that promises affordable commuting, digital access and inclusive campuses.
The document, compiled after reviewing over 5,000 student suggestions, places education, security, health, sports and employment at the forefront. Key commitments include subsidized health insurance schemes, free university-wide Wi-Fi, and construction of new hostels to meet growing demand. ABVP also pledged accessibility audits to improve facilities for specially abled students, scholarships for transgender students and enhanced budgets for cultural and academic societies.

Releasing the manifesto at a press conference, ABVP National General Secretary Dr. Virendra Singh Solanki said it “highlights the real issues faced by students” and proves the organisation’s resolve to work “365 days a year in the interest of students.”
DUSU central panel candidates Aryan Maan (President), Govind Tanwar (Vice President), Kunal Chaudhary (Secretary) and Deepika Jha (Joint Secretary) joined the event, promising to strengthen placement cells, job fairs, internship support and women’s safety measures. Jha outlined plans for pink booths, sanitary pad vending machines, permanent gynaecologists and gender-equality training camps.
ABVP’s past initiatives—such as the launch of U-Special buses, approval for new women’s hostels, land allocation for a Student Activity Center and internship programmes—were highlighted as proof of consistent campus engagement.
The student organisation will campaign across North, South, East and West campuses in the coming days, urging voters to endorse its vision of affordable commute, modern research facilities and a more inclusive Delhi University.
