New Delhi, 13th Dec. After becoming eligible for national party status, the AAP will appoint Sandeep Pathak, its election in-charge for Punjab and Gujarat, as national general secretary (organisation).
Despite winning only five of the 181 seats in the Gujarat assembly elections, Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) received nearly 13% of the vote.
According to Kejriwal, the AAP did not win many seats, but the votes it received helped it achieve national party status.
Pathak, a Rajya Sabha member, was the election in-charge for Punjab and Gujarat, and he will be named the AAP’s national general secretary (organisation), according to party sources on Tuesday.
