New Delhi, 24th Jan.
Anurag Thakur, the Union Information and Broadcasting Minister, criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for reciting Sunderkand, calling it a political hypocrisy. He asked AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal to explain the actions taken by him for temples and priests.

Thakur made these statements during a cleanliness drive at Balmiki temple with Delhi BJP leaders on January 17. He also accused the AAP of setting records of corruption, with its Deputy Chief Minister, Ministers, and MPs all being in jail and denied bail.

Thakur further slammed Kejriwal for being involved in corruption and avoiding necessary questioning by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). He accused Kejriwal of prioritizing media appearances over cooperating with the ED.

Thakur also questioned the AAP’s sincerity in reciting Sunderkand, stating that Kejriwal should clarify what he has done for temples, priests, and saints in Delhi over the past decade. He also questioned why public money was given to Maulvis and Imams of mosques while temples were discriminated against.

In response to the Congress party boycotting the life consecration ceremony of Shri Ram Lalla and facing opposition within its own ranks, Thakur lambasted the party for prioritizing its own interests over justice for the people.

He warned that if the Congress party continues to distance itself from Ram devotees, it will lose support. Thakur accused the Congress of consistently letting down Hindus through appeasement politics.

Thakur emphasized that despite the political games played by these parties, they will ultimately have to seek refuge in Shri Ram. He also criticized the opposition for boycotting positive developments in the country, such as the new Parliament building and speeches by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Thakur accused the opposition of opposing anything good happening in India.

Baijayant Jay Panda, the BJP’s National Vice President and Delhi in-charge, praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing the opportunity to clean temple premises through the cleanliness Shramdaan. He highlighted the importance of combining devotion to God with cleanliness efforts to benefit temple visitors.
