A youth arrested for allegedly raping 50 year old woman in Pithoragarh

Pithoragarh, 24th July. Pithoragarh police today arrested a youth who allegedly raped a 50 years woman in a village in Berinag sub division two days ago.

“Jiwan Singh,  pradhan of Mantoli village of the sub division has been arrested by our team from a bypass road. He has been arrested under section 376, 506 of IPC.”said Sukhbir singh SP pithoragarh.

According to the SP the arrest has been made after an elderly woman from the village had complained to police that the youth had forcefully entered her house, while she was alone.The youth had also threatened the woman with dire consequence if she reported to the police.
