India Reports 15,754 New COVID-19 Cases, 39 Fatalities

New Delhi, 19th August. In India, 15,754 new coronavirus infections were reported in a single day, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases to 4,43,14,618, with 1,01,830 active cases.

The death toll has risen to 5,27,253, with 47 fatalities, eight of which have been reconciled by Kerala.

The active cases accounted for 0.23 percent of all infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate was 98.58 percent, according to the health ministry.

In the last 24 hours, the active COVID-19 caseload has increased by 487 cases.

According to the health ministry, the daily positivity rate was 3.47 percent and the weekly positivity rate was 3.90 percent.

The number of people who have recovered from the disease has risen to 4,36,85,535, while the fatality rate was 1.19 percent.

So far, a total of 209.27 crore doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the country as part of the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive, according to the ministry.

Out of  39 new fatalities, eight people died in Delhi, six in Maharashtra, four in Karnataka, three each in Punjab, Rajasthan, and West Bengal, two each in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, and one each in Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Odisha, Sikkim, and Uttarakhand.
